The mission of Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness is to provide a place to belong, with experiences that empower and equip associates and their families to live with meaning and purpose. Our intention is not to “fix,” as people do not need to be fixed. We are here to guide the associate-led journey, connecting our community to their choice of resources and celebrating successes in their Whole Health journey.

Whole Health in Northwest Arkansas
Alice Walton is a philanthropist committed to enhancing health and well-being for all. Poor health care rankings and high spending in the U.S. and Arkansas coupled with her own health experiences inspired Alice Walton to seek a new approach to health care, one that considers mental, physical, social, and emotional health.
Each of the Whole Health entities focus on different aspects of Whole Health Delivery:
• Heartland Whole Health Institute a nonprofit established in 2019 that works with health systems, employers, and communities to redesign health care delivery.
• Alice L. Walton School of Medicine (AWSOM) four-year, medical degree-granting program that integrates traditional medical education with the arts, humanities, and whole health principles established in 2021.
• Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness, opened on the New Walmart Home Office Campus in 2024, focuses on behavior and lifestyle change for Walmart associate health and well-being.
How is Whole Health different?
Whole Health is an approach to health and well-being that centers around you and what is important to you. You are put in control of your well-being, with focuses on self-care, skill building, and support. You don’t have to wait until something is wrong to improve your well-being. Whole Health encourages you to set goals based on what is important to you, and work toward those goals with your health team, community resources, or Whole Health experiences.

Notice: Means to pay attention, on purpose, to what is happening in the present moment without judgement. Paying attention to what is going on internally, maybe your thoughts or a physical sensation, and externally, maybe the breeze or sounds.
Choose: Then choose what you want to do in the present moment that serves you best. You are the boss; you know what is best for YOU!

Take charge of your life and health through this group coaching experience. The Taking Charge series is an evergreen program that you can jump into at any time. Start your Whole Health journey with Intro to Whole Health and then follow up with a different Whole Health experience weekly to check in, learn new skills, and stay accountable.

Coloring & Connections
A unique event designed to inspire creativity, foster connections, and promote Whole Health. This is your opportunity to unwind, to be present, and to savor the moment. Community Sound Baths
This unique experience is designed to provide a tranquil pause in your day, helping you to unwind, rejuvenate, and reconnect with your inner self. Research suggests that Sound Bath meditations can help reduce anxiety, decrease stress hormones, and significantly improve both sleep quality and mood. All you need to participate is your open mind and if you choose, a cozy blanket for additional comfort.
Mind Your Art
Take a moment and join us in a journey of self-discovery and expression through our mindful creative exercises. This is your opportunity to switch off from the world, focus on the present moment, and truly connect with your inner artist. And the best part? Group Class Schedule
Free & Premium Offerings
Our group classes are designed to provide participants with a fun, motivating, and well-rounded experience. Whether you’re looking to center yourself in a Mind Body class or sweat it out with a high-intensity workout, we have a class for you! A wide selection of our offerings are included in your membership, or join our Premium Group Fitness classes and experience a workout like no other.
Group Fitness Schedule
Prior registration for group classes is not required but it is strongly recommended due to class capacity. Members who have registered will have priority for the class and all others will be first come, first serve. You can register in Club Automation (on-line or app) or with any of our staff.
Pool Hours
Our Aquatics Center offers three pools and a number of experiences for aquatic enthusiasts to enjoy. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced swimmer, incorporating swimming into your fitness routine can have a positive impact on your overall health and well-being.
Swimming is also great way to spend time together with loved ones in Family Swim as you get in some aquatic movement while you let your little ones splash and play!
Family Funday
Family Funday a delightful program designed to engage parents and children in a vibrant array of activities that promote active play, discovery, and lots of fun! This unique experience provides an excellent opportunity for families to spend quality time together, create lasting memories, and strengthen bonds.
Our Family Funday is open to children aged 6 and above, ensuring an environment that's both safe and age-appropriate for everyone. Keep an eye on our social media channels, as well as our Whole Health & Fitness app to get involved!
Family Glowga
This unique event is where the ancient practice of yoga meets the fun and excitement of glowsticks. It's an opportunity to deepen your connection with yourself and your loved ones, all while bathed in a kaleidoscope of soft, glowing colors.
Tai Chi
This ancient Chinese martial art, often described as "meditation in motion," involves a series of slow, fluid movements and deep breathing. The practice of Tai Chi can significantly enhance physical health by improving balance, mobility, and coordination. It's a gentle exercise that can be enjoyed by individuals of all ages and fitness levels.
Taking Charge

Changing behavior isn’t easy, even when you know what to do. Working with a Whole Health coach brings a supportive, non-judgmental expert into your corner to help you take charge.
How it Works
From helping you find your purpose to improving your health habits, think of your whole health coach as your partner for change. Your coach will work with you to explore what matters to you. Sessions are designed to help you understand your challenges, strengths and opportunities, while empowering you to take intentional action in your life. Held in groups of 8 – 15 participants, these sessions provide the opportunity for more social and community interaction and are often complimentary to the individual coaching sessions
